What am I thinking? What am I doing? This is where I'll be sharing the goings-on around my world each day/week/however frequently I get around to writing something down. :) [This was my "everyday" blog from June 2002 through December 2005. Please see my LiveJournal for current entries!]

Spring has sprung... and goodbye to Pope John Paul II

Our family Easter party last Sunday was fun. It's always nice to hang out with family and friends. It's always nice to have lots of food to indulge in too. :)

Pretty quiet at work this week... nice to have a bit of down time although it can get boring. On the other hand, the weather was a little wild a few days ago. We had our first round of severe storms of the season. Lots of rain, lightning, thunder, and I heard that some places got hail although I did not personally encounter any. Just another sign of springtime in Illinois!

I had my first Marketing Decisions class on Thursday. It looks like it will be a lot of work but potentially a lot of fun too. We will be doing a marketing simulation where teams compete against each other in marketing a certain product in a given industry. The prof said that some past classes have been pretty cutthroat, so this could be interesting. :) My Management Accounting class starts this week too but this is a distance learning one (like the class I took last quarter) so I just have to make time to view the lecture online.

The Illini play their Final Four game tonight. Hail to the orange, hail to the blue! Edited to add: YES!!! Illinois in the NCAA finals! Woohoo!!

Finally, I was saddened to hear of the Pope John Paul II's death this afternoon. As a Catholic I have certainly held the Pope in high regard and he's been such an influence on both the church and the world in general. He is pretty much the only Pope I have "known" since he was elected when I was 4 years old. I am happy though that he is no longer suffering and that he is in a much better place now.
