Ah, a nice long weekend is winding down.

Spent Saturday night and most of Sunday at the parental units' house... got to hang w/Lori and Mocha a lot. Mocha has learned a new skill - "lay down" :) He also showed how "tough/brave" he really is by freaking out during a thunderstorm. And twice he thought a doorbell ringing on the tv was our actual doorbell, and started barking and trying to get out of his room to greet the "visitor" downstairs. LOL

Today I just kind of lazed around at home. Actually I did work out for a bit, but other than that I watched some tv, tidied up a bit, etc. I won't be home for almost two weeks since I'll be in NYC with Mom and Tita Cora next weekend. Woohoo!

Better get ready to head to the airport...

Sebastian now has a baby brother named Reese! I have yet to meet Jimari's new cutie, but Lori and Mom have seen him and found him to be exceedingly cute, much like his big bro. :)

Mom and I saw a Batangas (Philippines) dance troupe performance today. Just amazing dancing and costumes! Very fun. I took some pics which I'll link here when they're uploaded.

Congrats to American Idol 2004, Fantasia Barrino. Very talented girl.

Looking forward to a relaxing holiday weekend. Will probably spend the night at the parental units' house tomorrow... gonna get some good playtime in with Mocha the hyper pup. :D

So... Lori saw Liezl at Tita Marie's wedding tasting yesterday and gave her my new cell phone #... Liezl called me to see if I wanted to meet up with her at O'Hare... I see Liezl in the United terminal and she's on the phone with Mari... who is on the way to the hospital with Jim because she'd gone into labor! OMG! :) And it's Jim & Mari's wedding anniversary, too! Sea-bass is going to have a little brother very soon!

Had a rather long travel day... flight was about two hours late arriving, then we had to wait another 40 minutes or so for a gate to open up... and that gate ended up being one of the farthest ones so I had a nice long walk to the train station. Well, I guess it was good exercise. Especially since one of the escalators was broken so I had to walk down with my bags. :P

So anyway. Had a low-key Saturday. Did a little cleaning around the house. Might go for a workout later... I gotta do better at going into the gym more than 1x/week!

Got my grade for the Global Economy class I took at DePaul this quarter... pulled off an A-!!! Hooray :)

On the work front, testing has been a pain. Database issues mostly. Bleh.

It's so warm in the office. It's making me sleepy and cranky. *grumble*

Home sweet home! For the next couple days anyway. :P

Tonight is Lions Club Charter Night. Mom will be handing over her presidency to Tita Gina. And so ends our year as the "First Family" of GHB Lioness Club. :) I'm sure Mom will be glad to have a bit more free time now though!

Lori is in NYC this weekend! I'm counting on her to pick out some fun and interesting spots I can visit when I'm over there in a few weeks.

Mocha apparently chewed on a pincushion the other day, and ate some pins! :0 He's going to the vet today... silly dog.

The lovely Jasmine made it through on Idol! Unfortunately the lovely La Toya got booted. :( Oh well.

My fave Idol contestant, Jasmine, had a rough night last night, and even broke down in tears after the judges critiqued her second performance. Poor gal! I actually called in a couple of votes for the first time ever: one for La Toya, and one for Jasmine (though I doubt it will be enough to "save" her from elimination tonight, alas).

I may be going to NYC in a few weeks! Mom and Tita Cora are planning to spend a weekend there, and asked if I'd like to meet up with them. I learned that I can take the Amtrak from Albany and end up at Penn Station right near the hotel that they'll be staying at. Cool!

Hey! It's Saturday afternoon and I'm not in class! Oh what a feeling. :D Today I plan to do some cleaning and organizing around the house. In particular, my CD collection is in a bit of disarray and needs to be tamed. Later, I plan to return to the gym after a few weeks off. Hopefully I won't hurt myself or fall off a machine or something...

It's Thursday already. Time flies when your string test scripts are all broken... :P

I'm planning to check out Jillian's in downtown Albany for dinner and video games tonight. Should be fun.

Last night's American Idol results show was a bit of a surprise... I was happy to see Jasmine stay on for another week, but I thought George was a better performer. Well, they're down to the last four... oh the tension! :)

So, Mom ordered hi-speed internet from their cable company this week. Finally! Lori will be so happy about this, hehe.

Whew! Final exam is done! I think I did all right. There was one essay question that I blanked out on just a bit... I managed to come up with something though, so hopefully I will get at least partial credit. Anyway, it will feel so good to have my Saturdays back! :)

Mom & Dad are at IU this weekend, so I will be spending the night at their house to keep Lola and Mocha company. Here's hoping I don't get torn up my Mocha the chewing machine.
