Well, I voted today. Had to do the absentee voting since I will be in Albany on Election Day. May the best candidates win! :)

After voting I walked around downtown a bit. Had lunch in the Marshall Field's food court on State Street, then did some window shopping at Field's and Old Navy. I love downtown Chicago! It's got some of the hustle & bustle of Manhattan, but without the "omg I'm going to get trampled" feeling. hehe

Happy Halloween tomorrow. I have a bag of candy in case I get any trick-or-treaters, but since I live in a condo building with mostly singles and young couples, there probably won't be very many kids coming by. I bet there'll be a lot of kids over by my parents' neighborhood though.

Well. Congrats to the Boston Red Sox for sweeping the World Series! So, now that they've lifted their curse, what are the odds that the similarly-cursed Cubbies will make it to the World Series next year? hehe

I found out my grade in the operations management class I took at DePaul this quarter... I ended up with a 90, an A- (barely). Whew!

Oh happy day... I found out that I got my promotion at work! *dances*

Also, next week I will be moving over to the programming team, so I can help code fixes to bugs found during testing. Should be interesting.

Tomorrow I am going to Kasha's bbq! I will get to see her kiddies, including the brand-new Sara. It's been a couple years since I last saw Kash, plus some of our other h.s. pals like Tasu and Amisha will be there, so I'm excited. Also a bit nervous because I committed to bringing Spanish-style potato salad that I've never made before... I may be calling Mom for assistance :)

Hmm, I need to think of how I will "reward" myself for the promotion. LOL

Just got back tonight from my trip to Cali... Had a great time with family out there. Thanks so much to Jay, Karen, Rommel, Tita Lita & Uncle Carlos for their hospitality! I'm also glad to have met Karen's new baby Sydney and to see big sister Sam again. :)

To mark the momentous occasion of reaching 200 blog posts ;) I have changed my Blogger template. I'm sure my legions of RONaround readers are thrilled and overjoyed. LOL

Anyway... I'm going to Cali tomorrow! Jay has a bunch of things planned for the weekend. I'm excited.

Hey, this is my 200th blog post! Woohoo!

Hung out on Friday with Lori and some of her gal (and guy) pals. They congregated at my condo while waiting to head out for some city sight-seeing. Lori entertained us with some piano-playing. I'm glad someone has finally touched that thing... I haven't played it in months :P

I'm going to Cali in two weekends! I booked a flight to San Diego instead of home for the weekend of Oct. 15. The ticket was actually cheaper than my usual flight to Chicago! I'm looking forward to seeing Jay, Karen, and family, especially Karen's new baby. :)

One more week of my Operations Management class to go! It will be nice to have my full Saturdays back again.
