Just got a haircut today. I can't remember the last time I went in for one. Needless to say my hair was getting pretty shaggy.

I'm going to visit my little cousins in Maryland next weekend! I changed my original flight home to Chicago to go into Dulles instead. I haven't seen them in about a year, so I'm excited.

Lola is back home now after her vacation in the Philippines. I'll get to see her tomorrow.

Another two-hour flight delay into Albany on Sunday night (into Monday morning). Egads! I didn't get to bed till 3am. Oh well.
 
On a *much* sadder note, my grade school pal Mitch finally lost his battle with cancer on Monday. It's especially heartbreaking to think of his wife and two twin baby daughters having to go on without him. :(
 
And in a circle-of-life kind of twist, I've learned that my uncle's wife's cousin (hehe) is pregnant with her first child, due in November. Congrats, Mil & John!

Amazingly, my flight home was on time this morning!
 
Just got back from the World's Largest Block Party a little while ago. It was nice. Lots of people, good food, and the weather cooperated. It had rained a bit earlier today but it stayed dry during the party. I saw my pals Kathy, Matt, Dan, and Michael there, and met a few "new" people. My main goal was to see Guster play a concert... they sounded good! Tomorrow I go back to the party as a volunteer. Hopefully I will be done working in time to catch The Wallflowers' set!

Bleh, two-hour flight delay yesterday.

On a brighter note, I met up w/Charlene for lunch today. She's moving to the Bay Area next weekend (but will still be working in Chicago for another few months). We checked out 9 Muses Bar & Grill in Greektown near my condo. Nice little lunch spot. We sat in a covered outdoor patio.

Not much else going on this weekend. I should go work out.

Next weekend is the World's Largest Block Party! Should be fun.

I flew home early this morning, then met up with some co-workers for lunch at the Taste of Chicago. Great weather, good food, and fun conversation.

No big plans for the rest of the weekend... just rest, mostly. I'll spend most of Sunday at the "homestead" though, to get in some quality time with the parental units, Lori, and Mocha. Speaking of the pup, he's going to graduate from his puppy training class on Tuesday! Oh, they grow up so fast ;)

Oh, I learned that I've been extended in Albany till Oct. 1. Waaah! Oh well, more frequent flier miles for me! :P
