Happy Easter!

It's been a pretty busy couple of weeks, but mostly good stuff. :)

I took my Financial Accounting final last Saturday... and got my course grade a couple days ago. I got an A!!! I'm very pleased. It's my first "real" A so far in grad school (I got a B and two A-minuses in my previous classes). Anyway, now that I'm on "spring break" I've had a chance to catch up on chores around the house, and I've even managed to get to the gym a few times.

After my final on Saturday I hung out with Lori, Rho, Liezl, Vince, and Erle over at Liezl's house. She showed off her engagement ring. :) She and Vince haven't decided on a wedding date yet though.

At work, this was my team lead's last week on the project, so we spent the week transitioning stuff from him to me and my teammate Ken. Ken's been on the project for a lot longer than I have so he'll be picking up most of the bigger tasks but I will be in charge of a number of things too. Hopefully things won't get too crazy in the next couple weeks while we adjust to our new responsibilities.

Tomorrow for Easter my parents and I will be going to Tita Marie's house for a lunch/brunch that she is hosting. Should be a fun time. My Tita Lita and Uncle Carlos were supposed to be visiting from San Diego this weekend too but had to postpone their trip, bummer.

Tita Marie recently "introduced" me to a niece of a friend of hers, Sarah. We haven't met yet but we've exchanged several e-mails, and the other day we talked on the phone for the first time. I invited Sarah and her aunt to the Easter party but she's not sure if she can go. :( But, she said she'd like to get to know me better and wants me to call again soon. :)

Wow, it's already the middle of March.

Went to my co-worker Jayne's birthday dinner at Emilio's Tapas downtown on Sunday. It was a good time. The food was excellent!

Lori is home for Spring Break. She arrived on Friday night while I was at the Lioness 70's Night fundraiser thingy with Mom. :P Lori was like, "why did you go!?!" but it was actually not too bad.

The Top 12 on American Idol did their first theme night tonight (60's music). Kind of a mixed bag. I cast three votes though. :) I've never gotten hooked on Idol this early in the season. It's kinda fun.

My Financial Accounting final exam is on Saturday. Eeek! It will be open book, but I still need to brush up on some topics. I think I have a pretty solid A right now, but I don't want to blow the final and end up with a B like I did in my Business Law class last year (doh).

We got a teaser of spring weather over the weekend... it got up to the 60's with sunshine on Sunday! I took Mark G. out to lunch to celebrate his 30th birthday on Sunday. It was a good time. We went to the Italian restaurant Pompei in Schaumburg (my first time there) and then shopped for a bit at Circuit City.

Unfortunately the warmth did not last... we've been back in the 20's and 30's the past couple days. The sun is back out though, at least. I got my car washed on Saturday - its first-ever since I bought it - and so far it's still pretty clean. It seemed like everybody in the neighborhood went for a car wash that day. :P

Lori's coming home for Spring Break on Friday. Hopefully she'll have good weather for the drive up.

Work and school are still keeping me pretty busy, though not as crazy as it was a couple weeks ago. I did register for next quarter's classes already: Management Accounting and ... a Marketing class the exact name of which I forget. Hopefully I'll be able to juggle two classes plus work without going completely bonkers!
